Streets of Havana

La Bodeguita del Medio in Palo Alto is a secret treasure of the Bay Area where you are welcomed with a cozy and inviting ambiance. Be transported to the streets of Havana with their large ceiling fans, dim lighting, and glasses of muddled mint lining the bar waiting to be filled to the rim with fresh citrusy mojito mix.

Wonderful place for a late lunch or happy hour serving delicious Cuban influenced meals, they offer a wonderful selection of beer, wine and cocktails. The Cuban sandwich is a must-try, and the chicharrones are crispy, yet juicy and perfectly paired with aioli. The variety of spirits available at La Bodeguita del Medio is one of its outstanding features. The bar has an amazing selection of rums and whiskies, including some uncommon and expensive bottles. The waiters will be pleased to give you a recommendation, whether you're just trying something new or deciding to go with a classic.

After dinner, grab a yourself a stiff drink or another mojito and make your way to the back to cap off your experience with cigar. Walking through the double doors, you pass a glass wall displaying a beautiful collection of aged rums. Then you enter the cigar lounge, take in the thick air rich perfume

of fine cigars, with walls decorated with Cuban influenced artwork.

Both Cuban and non-Cuban brands of cigars are available in their humidor that keeps the wide selection at the right humidity and temperature. The helpful staff is always there to assist you in selecting the ideal cigar for your preferences and price range.

La Bodeguita del Medio will certainly become a frequent visit of mine and I'm sure for other cigar fans alike.
